For municipal agencies, school districts, parks departments, and nonprofits exploring playground improvements in New York State.

About NY PLAYS

New York State has announced $67.5 million in capital funding through the NY PLAYS initiative to support the construction, expansion, and renovation of public playgrounds for all abilities across the state. Request-for-applications (RFA) materials are expected to become available beginning January 6, 2026.

Important: Eligibility requirements, application timelines, and program terms are determined solely by New York State. We strongly encourage all interested organizations to review the official program materials and confirm their eligibility directly with the administering agency before planning any project.
